Kentucky Man Driving with Child Arrested for DUI
June 26, 2014
When a serious offense is committed on the road, it can result in license suspension or revocation, fines and even a jail sentence. Drunk driving is just one of these types of charges one can face on the roadways of Kentucky and across the country. Incidents resulting in a collision of some kind or incidents where lives are endangered, especially children, can bring more serious charges to those involved.
It is important to remember that you have rights should you find yourself facing such charges. An attorney may be able to assist you with understanding your options as you try and move on with protecting your future.
Recently, a man was arrested and charged with a DUI after he was involved in a car accident in Kentucky. Although there were no injured parties involved in the car accident, the driver is now facing multiple charges. The presence of his three-year-old son in his vehicle at the time of the crash and the reported drug paraphernalia found in the vehicle added two additional charges to his arrest.
The man reportedly did not pass all aspects of the sobriety test he was given and an officer on the scene also noted that his eyes were "glassy." However, it should be noted that despite these circumstances, this man, as all those charged with crimes in Kentucky and across the country, is innocent until proven guilty.
It is always important and recommended to seek counsel for a DUI charge. A legal professional may provide some peace of mind by explaining your options.
